Zaome

Zaome is a variant summoner, one gifted with the innate power of zaomancy from birth.

Zaome's do not summon monsters or Eidolons but rather animate objects and modify existing physical creatures to suit their ends. it is widely beleived that many beasts such as owlbears are the result of Zaomantic experiments.

Animate Objects (Su)
This ability replaces Summon Monster
Starting at 1st level, a Zaome can cast Animate Objects as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier. Objects created in this way may not have a CR higher than 1. At 3rd level, and every 2 levels thereafter, the power of this ability increases by +1 CR, allowing him to animate more powerful creatures (to a maximum of CR 10 at 19th level).

Augmented Companions
These replace Eidolon
A Zaome's Augmented companion employs all rules described for an Eidolon with the following exceptions.
An augmented companion is a physical creature native to the prime material plane it is not summoned.
If killed an augmented companion may be replaced by capturing a creature of the same basic type (biped/quadraped/serpentine) and then spending 1 day per hit die of the creature modifying it to suit the whims of the zaome.
