Valar

Valar are non-elves with close cultural ties to Elves. By embarking upon this Foster-Race Prestige Class the character can manifest typically elven abilities.
Hit Die: d8.

Requirements

To qualify to become a Valar, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Creature Type: Any non-elf Fey, Humanoid, Monsterous Humanoid
Skills: Knowledge (Arcana) 2 ranks, KNowledge (nature) 2 ranks.
Special: The character must be able to speak elven and have grown up in the company of elven or spent years of her adult life with them.

The Mountain Kin’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are:
Appraise (Int), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Intimidate(Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (architecture and engineering), Knowledge (Dungeoneering) Profession (Wis)
Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features

All of the following are features of the mountain kin prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Valar receive the Martial Weapon Proficiency feats for the longsword, rapier, longbow (including composite longbow), and shortbow (including composite shortbow). They recieve no additional proficiencies with armor.
Skill Bonus Valar recieve a +2 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks. An elf who merely passes within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a Search check to notice it as if she were actively looking for it.
Low-Light Vision(Ex): At second level valar can see twice as far as an ordinary human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. While he retains the ability to distinguish detail under these conditions a valar does not r
Stone Cunning (Ex):At third level a mountain kin a +2 racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like. Something that isn’t stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. A mountain kin who merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework can make a Search check as if he were actively searching, and a mountain kin can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can. A mountain kin can also intuit depth, sensing his approximate depth underground as naturally as a human can sense which way is up.
Hearty (Ex): At third level a mountain kin recieves a permanant +2 bonus to their constitution.
Dwarfborn (Ex):For all effects related to race, a mountain kin is considered both his original race and a dwarf.
